2 inch Body Lift Kit - Pajero/Shogun/Montero Mk2 - SWB.

£48.84

2 inch Body Lift Kit - Pajero/Shogun/Montero Mk2 - SWB.

All the parts are contained in this kit to raise your truck's body by a nominal 2 inch

Raising your body will enable you to fit bigger diameter tyres allowing you more clearance under the vehicle.

The 2 inch kit is the easiest of our kits to fit needing only the modification or removal of the fan cowling on the radiator - further instructions can be found Here and you'll find some FAQs Here.

Fitting

Refer to the general fitting page, remove the fan/radiator cowling (if fitted) before lifting.

Vehicles fitted with super select transfer boxes (mostly all the MK2 range) have to have material removed from the body, and on some lifts the centre console, behind the transfer lever. This is due to the super select transfer lever operating through about 90º and the 2 wheel drive position of the lever being at 45º.
The amount of material having to be removed varies on the size of the lift from about 8mm on a 2 inch lift to about 75mm on a 4.5 inch lift.

This kit will fit:

Mitsubishi Shogun
Mitsubishi Pajero
Mitsubishi Montero
Years:
1991 - 1999

Vehicle Specific FAQs:

Will these fit the Mk3 face lift Pajero?
Mitsubishi changed the design of the Pajero range in 2000 from ladder frame chassis and separate body to a monocoque type construction (chassis and body all in one). During the late 90s they updated the Mk2 with a face lift, this design was then carried on after 2000 as the Mk3. Our body lift kits will fit the face lift Pajero up to 1999/2000 but not the Mk3 made after that date.

I've been told I already have a body lift can I fit this kit as well as, or instead of?
On the Pajero range many of the vehicles leave the factory with what is known as a 'winter pack' and one of the thing included is a body lift to allow clearance for snow chains to be fitted. The lift varies between 1" and 2" and is done by repositioning the mount points on the chassis so you will be able to fit this kit as well.

How can I tell if I already have a body lift?
Go to the rear wheel arch and look at the chassis behind the wheel. The chassis and body at this point is normally touching (or are within 10mm of touching) if you have a bigger gap than 10mm (e.g. 20mm or 40mm) for example, you can insert one or two fingers between the body and chassis, then you have a body lift. At the front end of the wheel arch is a body mount point consisting of a bracket with a metal cup containing a rubber insert with a steel washer on top. If the steel washer touches the body then you do not have a after-market body lift.

Do you have a kit for 2000-on Pajeros?
Unfortunately Mitsubishi changed the construction of the Pajero range in 2000 from ladder frame chassis and separate body to a monocoque fabrication - the chassis being part of the body. This means that it is not possible to lift the bodies on Pajeros, Shoguns or Monteros manufactured after this date.

What is the difference between a Mk 1 or Mk 2 Pajero?
The Mk1 was built between 1983 and 1990 and has a very squarish brick like style. The Mk2 was built between 1990 and 2000 and is more rounded with a less steep angle on the windscreen. Towards the end of the 90s a face lift model was introduced - this had wide stepped wheel arches. In 2000 the face lift became the Mk3 with a monocoque construction.

Will your lift kit fit my Mitsubishi Delica?
Unfortunately only the pre 1986 model Delica's had separate body and chassis, since then as far as we know at the moment all the models built after this have a monocoque construction (combined chassis and bodyshell).

Do you have Bumper Relocation Plates for this lift?
Only for the front bumper, the existing rear bumper brackets will still be in contact with the chassis rail on this lift, so all that is needed is for extra holes to be drilled in the brackets - we supply instructions with our Bumper Relocation Plates

I bought this kit because I didn't want one that might corrode and was actually surprised at how tough these spacers are. I believe they are as strong as steel, and they certainly feel that way. I did have a problem with the bolts though, which were replaced in a very speedy and professional way. Highly recommended!

Bought the kit and fitted no problem. just remeber to stick car in 4wd or remove gaiter first, and remove the fuel tank filler mount thats bolted to the chassis as mine pulled the tube off, and was a stretch to refit. the air filter also becomes stretched but will fit as well. excellent quality and delivery, recomended! time for those bigger tyres ;)

Bought this kit a couple of weeks ago, before fitting the kit rang xpajun for some fitting instructions, the person which I spoke to was very pleasent and very well informed, he helped me with a couple of issues that I came up against later on fitting the kit. When it came to fitting the kit, it fitted exactly as was discribed, everything was a good neet and tidy fit, I could not possibly reccommend this kit more highly, the same goes for the customer care... Thanks Xpajun From a very satisfied customer Mr Crosby One word of caution though, the front mounting bolts were rusted into the sleeves on my Paj, so remember to soak the front mounts in penatration fluid for days before attempting to remove them, it took me about 6 hours to remove mine!
