4 inch Body Lift Kit - Vauxhall/Opal Frontera 'A' Series 3 Door SWB.

This kit is for the Vauxhall Frontera and contains all the parts to raise your truck's body by a nominal 4 inch including a 3 inch Transfer Lever Extension

Raising your body will enable you to fit bigger diameter tyres allowing you more clearance under the vehicle.

The 4 inch kit requires a steering linkage modification to your truck. See the FAQs for a general list. However we will stress that this will not be major.

Fitting

Refer to the general fitting page, remove the fan/radiator cowling (if fitted) before lifting, the existing front 6 bolts are fitted down through, the rear ones are fitted up through into captivated nuts (we supply the correct bolt for the captivated nuts) - you may have to replace some of the front 6 up through.
On some models modification may be required on the steering linkage to extend it.
Bumpers are raised by using our bumper relocation plates.
Additional modification, including cutting, may be needed behind the gear lever and transfer lever to allow the lever to stay in gear.

FAQs

Any lift above 2" will require steering linkage modification involving cutting and welding a spacer in the linkage

Vehicle Specific FAQs:

Is my Frontera an "A" series or a "B" series, what is the diffence?

Although the "A" series had a face lift in 1995 there were no major differences to the construction of the Frontera until the "B" series was introduced in 1998 - the main difference for body lifts being a change in the bolting method and the number of mounting points used. We show pictures of both "A" and "B" series long and short wheel base to help you identify your truck.

Can I fit a bigger lift than 2" on my Fronteria?

The Fronteria can only accept a 2" lift without a major modification to the steering linkage, this involves cutting, lengthening and welding. If you are competent enough to do this, then the maximum would be a 4" lift.
